What types of baits and traps can be used to kill mice?

The use of the common snap trap can be effective, if placed properly, when trying to kill mice. The traps should be set right up against walls (where you believe the mice are) with the trigger facing the wall. Glue boards may also be effective in catching the mice, if placed properly. When the mice get trapped in the glue, they will be unable to free themselves and eventually die from hypothermia. Zapper traps lure mice into their enclosures and then zap the mice with an electric shock, which kills the mice. This type of trap is more costly than the other two and requires the use of batteries.
It is recommended to not use bait within the home because rodent bait can be poisonous to humans and pets.
