Struckum first opened its doors as a home-based operation in 1984 when it was founded by the late Gregory Warren Strachan and his wife Gilda. Greg and a helper completed the servicing while Gilda made house calls and took care of billing. From 1996 to 2001 Struckum operated out of a small office on East Bay Street. In the latter part of 2001, Struckum grew again, requiring that operations move once again to a larger unit but this time to West Bay Street in the Carlette Henerea Plaza. During this time, our staff grew to a total of about eight persons, including Greg and Gilda. We have recently grown again and in 2019 moved from our location on West Bay Street to our present facility on Madeira Street, operating over 5,000 square feet of space with a total staff of twenty-one, and counting! Under the leadership of our President, Gavvin Strachan and Vice President, Gibran Strachan, sons of Greg and Gilda, we have increased our training and have recently been awarded the QualityPro accreditation, one achieved only by the top 3% of pest control companies in the United States.
