Cockroaches – Gel Bait
Cockroaches are nocturnal creatures, preferring to forage for food at night. They require three things to survive; food, water and shelter. Any dark, warm and moist environment provides the ideal harborage or hiding place. This explains why they’re commonly found in kitchens, particularly behind and underneath appliances, under sinks, in cupboards; and in bathrooms.
While traditional over the counter bug sprays kill on contact, they have very little or no residual at all. This means that they are only able to kill what they have been applied to. Cockroaches commonly take up residence in cracks and crevices that these aerosols are unable to reach.
Professional grade cockroach baits do the hard work for you. Once the proper inspection has been conducted to determine active cockroach sites and the accurate estimation of their numbers, gel baits are strategically applied in the areas where they forage. The baits are an attractant and draw out the cockroaches to feed.
Once consumed, the cockroaches then return to their hard to reach harborages where their feces are eaten by roaches that may not have made it out to feed. The gel bait makes its way throughout the cockroach nest, effectively killing the entire population; including males, females, pregnant females and hatchlings.
